One of the most important aspects of Positively Different Short Film Festival is our volunteers team, who support us in the selection of each edition’s films and programme curation. This year, we are happy to be working with the largest volunteer team our festival has seen so far – 27 members, many of them returning! For this reason, we decided to offer a more concrete and well-rounded training, in two parts.
The first training was facilitated by Giannis Kantea-Papadopoulos – film critic and long-time collaborator of PDSFF – and focused on film critique. After a small introduction to our festival and the viewing process, we dived in the basics of film critique, coverings types of shots, cuts and transitions. Afterwards, we collectively watched scenes of feature films, as well as some shorts and analysed them together!
