The subversive imagination of Positively Different Short Film Festival returns for the 6th year!
PDSFF turns 6 and invites us to a leap away from the solid ground of our bright or grim realities; with open hearts and minds for what has yet to come.
For the past five years, Positively Different Short Film Festival has been unraveling the topics of diversity, intersectionality, justice. We have worked hard to create a space where we can be safe and brave, to defend rights and equality, to speak out against discrimination and violence. We have shared our communalities, built resistances and talked of love and revolt.
48 short films from all over the world will be screened in Athens competing for 4 prizes – Best Film Award, Audience Award, Best Greek Production, Curators’ Award. Public public talks and discussions with filmmakers, workshops and masterclasses will assemble a four-day celebration of diversity, communities, and resistances. Special screenings of the award-winning films will take place throughout the year in, at least, six European cities and four locations in Greece.
We dare you to imagine a leap away from the solid ground of bright or grim realities;
to jump through the hole of fantasy, memory, desire, hope
