On the village’s square | Special screening in Kato Pedina

Kato Pedina is a village of the gorgeous Zagorochoria complex in Western Greece, close to Ioannina. For PDSFF and Inter Alia, though, it is one of the stations of the festival’s yearly itinerary. This was the case for 2025 as well. Along with our hosts of Zagoriwood and the Cultural Company of Zagori we screened at the village’s square and had a chance to exchange with an intergenerational audience issues like extractivism, loss, acceptance and coming out. We curated a set that aimed to spark individual and collective reflection and exchange but also to respect the specificities of the specific audience. The warm applause of the audience in the end of each film signalled support for these choices and hinted that we can take it a step further next year.
